what could he have gotten into

I think he has a tummy ache or ate something he shouldn't have. He puked 2 times during the day and when he goes to the bathroom it's all liquid. Chat Icon

He barely ate his food today. Chat Icon

We've been backtracking the things he has eaten and we cant think of anything out of the ordinary. However he did attempt to eat a twig on is walk 2 days ago and I am thinking their was something on the twig that is disagreeing with him and it's running it's course.

I hope he feels better soon. Looks like he'll be eating rice tomorrow Chat Icon

Re: what could he have gotten into

Thanks everyone Chat Icon Chat Icon

We gave him no food for one day and that night I gave him a cup of cooked white rice.

He ate the rice and by the next day he was back to normal. Someone told me that goldens have a very sensative digestive system and often at times if they over eat or eat something they shouldnt they get an upset stomach.

Thank goodness whatever it was only lasted about a day and now he's back to normal.

Re: what could he have gotten into

My Rottie has a sensitive tummy too....to the point that when the seasons change, we can count on her eating grass to make herself throw up!

Watch out for him eating dirt, digging up rocks and such, and even flower bulbs. Bailey did that as a puppy and was in the vet for 4 days because she was so dehydrated from throwing up and having the runs!!!

You can also give them white rice on a regular basis with their dry food (when I make rice, I make extra for the doggies!Chat Icon )

Glad he's feeling better!

Thanks.

Simba will eat anything. We are so careful about that because we know he has such a sensative tummy. Yesterday returning home from his walk, we had the sprinklers on and he tried to chase and eat the water. Chat Icon

I wish he wound understand if you eat something you arent suppose to you will get a tummy ache. But he has mysteries to solve Chat Icon
