On Friday Im having the first part of my Ultrascreen. What exactly does this entail???

For mine they just did a more extensive ultrasound, then they pricked my finger. That was it.

ugh...I too have to have one next week and I Hate when they prick my finger, I would rather have a needle in my arm.
A fetal ultrascreen is a extensive sono where the measure the baby including
the folds on the babies neck for downs statistics, a blood test and a history is taken., All info is then fed into a computer for odds on certain things and to see if they recommend a amnio.
good luck!! it will be exciting to see the baby in such detail!

It was very easy- my first appt. was harder because they took SO much blood. But this just involves a finger prick. And it will be really wild to see the baby!
