HELP--- BRIGHT RED BLOOD! Warning- TMI

Hey girls... I'm freaking out... this is gonna be TMI.... about a half hour ago I was walking to the bathroom when I felt a gush of something... I went to the bathroom and it was blood... bright red! I have slight cramps... but the bleeding stopped almost immediately... I called the dr and he said it could be nothing and to call him back if the bleeding / cramping got worse and to go in for a sono on monday... I am around 9 weeks... is this the beginning of a misscarriage? I'm so scared!

i had wierd bleeding too with both my pg's in the 6-10 week range.I hope all is well for you

If it was me I would go to the ER just to be sure.

Stay off your feet until Mon. ...Legs up... DON'T DO ANYTHING!!! Just go in on Mon. asap and have the sono done. I had bleeding too... he did an internal everything was fine ...just needed bedrest fro a little to make sure. I was around 9 weeks also.

Try to take it as easy as possible- keep those legs up! It could be your body telling you you need to stop and rest. I would say wait until Monday, but I know if it were me, and it was still bad today, I would go to the ER.

AT about 9 weeks I had bright red bleeding..I was so scared and did go to the emergency room- to ease my mind. They did a sono and said the baby will alright and still had a heartbeat. They had me follow-up with my OB the next day. MY OB did a sonogram also and discovered that I had a hematoma by the placenta. I had to stay out of work for a week and luckily the hematoma resolved & I am now 28 weeks pregnant. I would call my OB today(mine has an emergency #) He/She will probably tell you to go to the emergency room to get checked out.. Good Luck &

I agree, you need to take the day off and just lay in bed. Let DH do everything for you.

Now, my SIL was about 10-11 weeks when this happened to her, she freaked out and ran to the ER, it turned out it was just extra blood that her body didn't absorb and it had to come out, she was fine and my neice will be one next month.

Everyone is different, but hopefully this is just the same thing happening to you.

I had this last week--so bad I was taken by ambulance in NYC to Bellview.
I couldn't imagine after that things were ok, but they were. I gushed too.
It stopped like u--I have alot of brown blood and its a week later.
Insist on a sono tomorrow and u will feel better/ Chances are if it stopped and clots aren't passing it is ok.
That is what I was told.

I hope it is nothing!!! I bled around 7 weeks and for a few hours and it turned out to be nothing. Just relax and take it easy. Let us know how it goes tomorrow!

Hey, Take it easy. It could be what I had..the hemorrage or hemotoma that someone spoke of. I was told no excercise, sex or heavy activity.
