I failed the 1 hour glucose test!!!!!!!
I got the call this morning...I'm so upset!!!! And, my nurse told me that it was probably because I fasted...she told me that if I would've eaten a bagel that morning, I probably would have passed.
So, now I have to go sit in that stupid lab for 3 HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know some of you had to do this too...please let me know how you got through it.
Also, what happens if I don't pass the 3 hour?

Well I had a 3 hr too and thankfully I passed. It's boring and they do take a lot of blood from you. I was lucky that my DH was with me the whole time.

Did they tell you what your level was after the 1 hour. I'm curious beacuse they didn't have me take the 3-hour after I failed the 1hr, they just automatically said I had GD.

I failed my 1 hour too...but passed the 3 hour...it's a long test, but don't worry - you'll be ok. When are you going for your 3 hour?

I could be totally wrong...but I believe she said something like 140 or 160...
I'm really not too sure though because I was totally flustered when she told me this news...
She automatically asked me if I fasted though...which I said I did. The day before I went for the test, I tried not to eat sweets...and then before I went for the test, I had nothing but a half glass of water. She told me that I probably would have passed had I eaten a bagel with butter.
So, now she told me 2-3 days before the test to eat a lot of carbs, bread, pasta and potatoes. Then I have to fast 8-10 hours before I go for the tet.

They are mailing me the paperwork and I should get it by Thursday, so I'm going to go for the 3 hour test on Friday now.
