Birthday gift for a pregnant friend
Just found out one of my HS friends is pregnant with baby number 1!  She just started telling people. Her birthday is coming up in a little over two weeks. I was thinking about getting her something pregnancy related,, maybe a book or a gc for a maternity store. Is it a good idea to combine both occasions or should her birthday gift just be a birthday gift? Any ideas? Thanks!

I was 3 mo. pregnant on my bday so I received a few gift certs to Motherhood....and I greatly appreciated them!

My b-day was 8/28 and I delivered 9/18. My 2 favorite gifts were GC for mani/ped and hair cut & color!!!!! It's hard feeling pretty that late in the pregnancy. It may be early for those......prenatal massage is good too!

Pre-natal massage is a great idea but she is in CT and I have no idea whats around there. Also, a different friend is a massage therapist and would probably do it for free if she wanted.
What maternity stores are there other than Motherhood?

GAP, Old Navy, A Pea in the Pod and Mimi, Babystyle...that's all I can think of right now.

I got a pregnancy journal from a friend of mine and it was the best gift. Not only did it tell me what was happening with the baby each day and what changes to expect in my body, but it had room for me to write about my pregnancy and had certain areas to put in your weight each week, any cravings, etc. I love it. I filled it out each day and now I'm so happy to have it to look back on. I also got a baby name book and some parenting magazines that I LOVED (thanks again for that Donna - dm24angel)!!!!
