High Blood Pressure

Well I went to the Dr. yesterday and he said my BP was alittle elevated (150/80)... he said he wasnt too concerned cause my BP since the beginning has seemed to be a normal higher, but he told me to cut back on work and only go in for 4 hours a day and wants to see me next Tuesday to check the BP and do a sono. he said that the heartbeat sounded great and seemed very non chalant about the BP. But of course I cant help but worry.... can anyone make me feel any better? Chat Icon

Re: High Blood Pressure

I was diagnosed with HBP (148/98) and they put me on meds, I am still able to work full time and go about my daily day to day life, my BP is way down now. I guess I will stay on it for the rest of the PG i am hoping it goes down after the baby is born. good lukc if worse comes to worse they can put you on meds that is perfectly safe for pg women

I would say if your doctor was non-chalant about it, I wouldn't worry. No need to stress about things when your doctor isn't concerned, we have enough to worry about! Chat Icon

Re: High Blood Pressure

I am in the same boat. My blood pressure went high 3 weeks ago and they told me i am on bedrest or floating in the pool and that is it. I was told it does not harm the baby as long as you take it easy. They told me to come to the office twice a week one for a sono and the other for a EKG for the baby. How many weeks are you???? Best of luck and if you need some one to talk to feel free to FM me. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
