I got my period at 5 months pp and I am still Bfing, but your body is still regulating itself, were you regular befire you were pregnant?

This may sound silly, but I had always thought that you didn't get AF while you were BFing. Somebody told me that your body still produces hormones like you're PG. I was led to believe that you can't get PG while BFing. I was looking forward to not having to worry about this for several months after giving birth. Is this wrong?

I got my period at 8 months pp but was still pumping & nursing. Second pregnancy I got my period  5 months but was still nursing.
Remember, whether you get your period or not you still may be ovulating, so unless you want irish twins...

It can take up to a year to get your period regularly after bfing. I got mine 2-3 months after stopping. I LOVED not having it so I was very happy

I must be so unlucky! I got my period back at 7 weeks postpartum. I breastfed exclusively since day 1. I BF for 1 year and had my period every month like clockwork!

i stopped pumping the 2 times a day at 6 weeks and AF showed at 9 weeks TO THE DAY!
