So I went to a BBQ last night

and of course i was only drinking water and two people were trying to find out if their was a "reason" for it so i told one girl,that I just did so much drinking this summer i needed a break LOL, the other one i was honest and said we are going to TTC this month so i am staying away from alcohol (she had fertility issues and has been a help to me along the way). I just find it interesting that people notice little things like that, i wonder if my family is going to notice at the holidays LOL

They do even moreso when you are a newlywed. People are expecting you to conceive almost immediately. I for one do not drink anyway. People will start to notice when I stop with soda and coffee.

I keep 'reading' people, especially ones that have been married for a while.
Its like a game to me, I know they won't tell (most of mine believe in 3 months rule) so all I have left are guessing games

I feel for you. If I decline a glass of wine at dinner (because I'm driving home) my mother gets all excited.

I'm trying to lose some weight before we officially TTC so I limit myself to water a lot of the time.

We just had a party to which my inlaws brought champagne so I drank water until it was time for champagne to save points (I'm doing weight watchers) and once Ii drank the champagne my brother in law said "oh I was watching you drink water all night and wondering" - I think EVERYONE is watching me now.
