Third grade teachers!!!
DID your kids take the ELA today??? we dont until tomorrow but i heard that some long island schools took it today. let me know TIA

My third graders took it today and will finish tomorrow. It is only a two day test for 3rd grade
4th grade is Tues-Thurs
5th grade is Thurs and Friday
I think it was fair. Some of the questions were a little tricky IMO bit overall it seemed fair. I thought it was funny 3 out of the 4 passages were non-fiction...

im surprised that they put 3 non-fiction topics on it. normally they do only one.huh?

non-fiction seems mroe difficult for kids to comprehend then fiction. I am surprised since this was the 1st ELA for 3rd grade that they would do that. But the reading level seemed pretty fair and the questions were ok. 2-3 of them were tricky and many of them across the grade got them wrong...
our asst prin scored them already on her own to see how we did.

OMG! they scored it already!!! how many third graders in your school? we have 150. my school is scoring during winter break. how did your class do?

OMG! they scored it already!!! how many third graders in your school? we have 150. my school is scoring during winter break. how did your class do?
we offically score them during Feb as well but my asst principal was obsessed with finding out how they did on part 1. there is about 80 kids and there was 21 M/C Questions.
