Jess Simpso gets emotional during MTV Special
Jessica Simpson broke down in tears, as she relived the painful collapse of her marriage to Nick Lachey. The stunning 26-year-old star got intimate about her love life and opened up about her very "Public Affair" with fans.
"It was that first moment of understanding why you have to let go of somebody in your life," she revealed in MTV's new special, "Jessica Simpson: A Public Affair," which airs Monday night.
Jess also revealed that to get through the difficult times, she turned to singing. In the special she also takes viewers through an emotional video diary of the dark days of her divorce.
"This was Christmas for me," she said. "It was weird to go through Christmas and not feel like I was able to celebrate."
Jessica said she turned to her sister Ashley for support during the tough times. "My sister was like, 'Jess, spend the night with me,'" Simpson related, adding that they generally listened to one of Jessica's new songs, "Let Him Fly," a song about her love for Nick.
"So we listened to it together, and we boo-hooed," she admitted. "We both cried so hard. So this song, actually, I was going through a really hard time, a very hard time."
But times are getting better for the sexy starlet, as the special shows the singer looking sexier and sounding hotter than ever on her new CD.

I watched this last night and i actually got very emotional watching her..I learned a lot about her and her feelings. It was very heartfelt..

As much as she has been getting on my nerves, I genuinely felt sorry for her last night. She lost that spark she used to have - she really doesn't seem happy.

Reading all these posts about how everyone felt bad makes me think I'm just really cold inside because I was not moved by her tears at all! I mean, I don't take pleasure in her pain or anything but I didn't like the show at all.

i have to say that i LOVED jess back in the day. I watched this last night and I felt no emotion. I felt it was so last yr. She should of done this earlier not when her CD is released

Glad I am not the only one. I am not a fan of hers at all, but listening to her say how she felt at Christmas was very sad.

she has not been on my good side lately
but i have to say i really felt bad for her
she def still loves him and it has to be so hard for her and him right now
i think they should have tried to work things out a little more
