alone: bridal shower
I remember someone posted a few months back not wanting to go to a bridal shower bc she didnt know anyone. I am in the same situation except I am in this girls bridal party. What do you do when you dont know ANYONE?

I'd still go. There's always someone you can make small talk.
And if you are part of the Bridal Party, you definitely need to be there.

If you are in the bridal party, you will probably be busy helping open gifts, and running the games, etc.

I have gone to a number of showers where I didn't know anyone and had a blast. I even made a new friend at the last one I went to.

I would go! At my shower there were 8 or so girls that didnt know each other - all random friends of mine from different periods of my life. They ended up all talking, and then they knew each other and talked at the actual wedding too.

You should go especially since you're in the bridal party. And just make small talk. You're all there for the common purpose of celebrating your friend's upcoming wedding.

i was in the same situation. And it is VERY AWKWARD...but ultimately there is nothing else you can do, just smile and try to enjoy yourself

I have to admit I've bailed on a bridal shower b/c I didn't know anyone but it was the wife of DH's friend who I wasn't that close with.
If you're in the bridal party you're kind of stuck going. I'm sure everyone will be friendly and it will give you a chance to get to know the girls in the bridal party better.

If you are in the bridal party, then I would say you definately should go. Otherwise, it is nice to go, but I wouldn't say required. It will be better to meet the other ladies now and it will make all the other wedding festivities easier. You will be so busy, it won't even phase you.
