I am confused by something Dr. said yesterday...pls. help..
I don't know why I didn't question it at the time, I guess just too much was going on, but he said if my stomach hardens and then relaeases for a minute or so continously, to call them, I said isn't that like braxton hicks, if there is no pain and he said yes...so why would I have to call them, my stomach has been doing it all day, no pain, but very hard, releases then hard again.

Those would be contractions. That's what they told me when they were scared I was going into preterm labor. He asked me if I had that I said no, and they hooked me up to the contraction machine anyway. I would call your doctor.

I am 40 weeks - yesterday was my due date, I thought contractions were supposed to hurt? I am soo confused. It went away now but I had that tightening for hours. now it will be gone for hours.

This is exactly what happened to me on Monday...I was 33 weeks and thought nothing of it....well, my baby was born Monday night! CALL THE DOCTOR and good luck!

For some people that contractions are not bad in the beginning.
I had to be induced. When I got to the hospital they told me I was having contractions - and I didn't even feel them.
