Off to the Doctor...UPDATE
They want to see Miranda. They are thinking she might have reflux. We'll see. I just hope they can help me get my happy baby back.

My brother's daughter has Acid Reflux. Her spit-up sometimes goes 3 or 4 feet out! It's amazing! When I babysat over the summer I'd have to lay down a towel in front of us for when I burped her!
Hopefully all will be well at the dr's appt. Let us know! I know my brother's daughter takes meds for it and they helped a LOT and she's gaining really well now.

Well we're testing out some Zantac. We're not certain it's reflux but the doc thinks it could be. I guess its hard with babies because they can't tell you exactly what's bothering them.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that this helps her. We go back next week for our 1 month appointment so we'll follow up then unless things don't get any better.
The good news is that she is gaining weight! She is 8lb 9 oz. so at least some of the food is staying in her.

My brother's daughter totallyd idn't gain weight at all for her first 6 months and finally they went to a different doctor who diagnosed her with reflux. She was born 10lbs 2 oz and was only like 12 lbs by 6 months. It is a good sign that your daughter is gaining weight because that means she is getting enough of the food down and it's staying down.
Spitting up is miserable though so I hope the medicine helps and if it turns out that she doesn't have reflux I hope you're able to regulate the spitting up.
Are you using Dr. Brown's bottles? I know that makes a BIG difference for a lot of babies.

Yes we use Dr. Brown's so i have no idea whats going on. i just hate seeing her upset all day.

welcome to my world - bryan has bad reflux he is on zantac and it seems to be working a little he is also a slow gainer too and the drs want him to gain more so I feed him like crazy. I have also heard that bm is a natural antacid so I let him nurse all the time.I hope he grows out of this soon though I hate seeing him in pain

I have to supplement with formula but I totally see a difference when she only has breastmilk compared to when she nurses and gets a bottle. Grrrr I wish I didn't have supply issues. I feel like life would be so much easier.
