Anyone going to Jones Beach tonight?
I am getting dragged to see Def Leppard and Journey...do you think they will cancel it if there is thunderstorms and lightening? I hope so, I am really not in a mood to stand there in the rain

I have never heard of them cancelling a show...I went to Lollapalooza and DFP in the rain and the show went on.
You may have a chance if there are heavy thunderstorms, esp. cuz it's on the water.

When i saw Sarah McLaughlin & The Chieftans there was lightning & they cancelled the show right in the middle.

I bailed on this show last minute. I haven't even called my friend yet and feel horrible. It's rain or shine. Have fun! Should be a great show.

We saw Def Leppard with Bryan Adams last year and it was great.
Pray for no rain!!
We saw Rod Stewart in the rain and I would do it again because he was great!

They have cancelled shows in the past.I saw SEAL there many years ago. Desree opened for him and it started to rain. By the time SEAL got on stage there was a down pour and he informed the audience that it was too dangerous, being so close to the water, to continue the show. Anything could happen.

I'm hoping they cancel...I usually love going to Jones Beach concerts but not in the rain...
Not a huge Def Leppard fan either, but I do like Journey even if its not the original singer.

I'm going! I have been totally looking forward to it. I hope the rain stops for a while. If there is lightening like there was in thje middle of the night and this am, however I will not stay even if they don't cancel.

We're taking the boat over to Jones Beach to listen to the show. I guess we're just going to anchor out and have a few drinks.
Hopefully the rain will stop.

i would love too go !!!! they do go one as long as the performers want to do , unless lighting and thunder due to the eletric, then the cancelle it. my dh cuz her husband is a park officer there so this is how i know
