Just took Blood tests...
I had no idea that they test for 100 different things when you are pregnant with your first. They took 10 vials of blood, which seems like a lot to me, but I guess they need to test for every possible thing.
At least they gave me a lollipop and a bugs bunny band-aid at the end of it all.

I have a congenital heart defect, so I have to take a few more tests than usual. The Dr. just wants to make sure everything is OK with me and the little one. I did feel a little wooozy after it, so they gave me a lollipop and told me to sit for ten minutes. Now I feel fine, thanks for asking.

10 vials? that sounds excessive to me! I think the first time they only took 2 or 3 at the most

Yep they took 10 from me too in one sitting. Then a few more another time. I just got 4 pages of scripts for blood work to have done this Saturday too!

I went for genetic testing before I got pregnant, and they took so many- about 7. Then they didn't get enough b/c the technician filled up the wrong sized tubes, so I had to go back and they had to do it all over again!!!! Since then they haven't taken too much blood in my doctors appointments.
