repost form NWR shower related / friend related

Ok so my bf who was one of my moh's and will probobly be my babys god mother
(although i havent said it offically but my sister is no religion so she is the obvious choice) anyway i asked her when her nephews christening was going to be ( just conversationally not anytign to do with my shower)and she said July i said oh when b/c my shower will probobly be in July and she said towards the end and i said well when you can find out b/c thats when my mom was thinking of having my shower as well. Now i know there is nothingshe can do about it and all but she wasnt like oh ill check and see dont worry aboutit i want to be there NOTHING. Now there was a whole thing with
my bridal shower which was a
surprise b/c so many of my frienbds were getting married i wantewd to be sure it wasnt going to be on the same day as anyone else well that anoyed her and turned into a whole
big thing. anyway my point is not that i have to be at te chritening( i am usually invited to all family functions) but obviously i want her at my shower now throughout thewhole 12 weeks i dont feel like she as ( or really
any of my non preggo frioends) have been particularly concerned about me or anyting. wouldyou be upset or is it hormones reacting?Be honest

It could definitely be hormones. I feel the same way alot, that my non-preggo friends just don't care and sometimes I feel like I'm totally justified and other times I wonder if I'm overreacting. DH is no help because he stands behind whatever I say. (he knows whats good for him LOL) Maybe your friend was hoping to surprise you w/a baby shower (maybe to help your mom plan it??) and doesn't want to tell you when it might be? Can you tell her how you feel and just talk about it? I'm sure she doesn't mean to hurt you, it's hard sometimes to step out of a situation to see there could be perfectly legit reasons on her part. especially when we are so hormonal already!!!! No it is not a surprise she knows that . I am planing it with my mom( i know sounds extreem but you dont know the half off what wenton with my bridal shoere) so thast not it. I told Dh and he agrees with me and says what do i expect that my friends are self absorbed. I dont know.
