Spinoff to F/T working Moms: YOU ARE ALL MY HEROES AFTER THE DAY I HAD!!!

I work all day mondays and fridays and well friday morn i had to be at work at 8 instead of 9:30, and i woke up at 6 exhausted, after being up a few times during the night with Mr. I-wake-up-still-to-eat!

So i wanted to feed the baby before waking DH when i notice a foul smell in the room where the dog sleeps. Sure enuf, she had diarhhea all over the floor!! Loads and loads of it in liquid piles.. i thought i was going to die!! So here i am in my bra and underwear, towel still on my head, go in to wake DH to feed Jacob while i now clean up the piles of liquid crap... and as i'm trying to clean it, i'm winding up just pushing it around cause its so liquidy..(sorry TMI) and i'm freaking out. The stench is like piercing.. and so i finally manage to clean it and i'm scrubbing and scrubbing the rug with like 5 different cleaners hell i even thru some "SHOUT" on it.. and want to take out my steam cleaner but there isnt any time. I'm late already!! So i manage to get dressed, thank God i wear scrubs, and just let my hair air dry and ran outta the house. I called work to tell them i was gonna be late. work was so busy and I didnt even get lunch. So fast forward to the evening.. i pick Jacob up from my MIL, bring him home and the min i walk in i notice the house looks like a bomb hit it. DH left everything a mess. So i'm trying to get Jacob's bath ready, and he's screaming at the top of his lungs every time i leave the room that he is in..
Separation anxiety already???

So i go to the bathroom where i told DH to leave the dog, in case she had an accident. I told him to put her in there and pick up the bath mats so its just floor if she gets sick again. So of coursssssssssssssseeeee he doesnt pick up the mats and she had diarhhea all over the bath mats and the floor, so they went in the garbage, and she went outside on a long leash while i cleaned up the crap again, while the boy is still screaming. I put him in his exersaucer while i am trying to clean up and as i pass by the livingroom he stops screaming when he sees me, then screams when i "disappear'.. So by now it is pouring out, and the dog is still outside now drenched in the rain. I manage to give a bath to Mr.-I-scream-my-head-off-when-mommy-leaves-the-room! and I called my best friend on the phone and demanded she get the hell over here to help me as by now i am having a nervous breakdown. My DH left the kitchen a mess with dishes piled high in the sink and no BOTTLES.. THEY WERE ALL PILED IN THE SINK ALSO!!!!!!! so i called him at work to give him a piece of my mind and he says "I know, i left the house a mess".. and i said "i thought i told u to pick up the bath mats? he said, "oh yeah, i was kinda in a rush when i left the house."

Whatever, goodbye.. so after Jacob's bath, i passed him off to my friend, while i brought in Miss-I-crapped-all-over-the-damn-house and had to now give her a bath cause she reaked like poo and now wet dog. So i'm giving her a bath and she's shaking her body so all the water is now spraying all over the bathroom as i'm yelling at her to stop. I had no dog shampoo so i wound up using Grins and Giggles on her. Figured Jacob smells good with it..

As i'm blow drying the dog, my friend opens the bathroom door and is trying to give Jacob a bottle but cant figure out the Dr. Brown's bottle, (ahh to be single) I"m yelling from the bathroom how much formula to put in and which nipple to use (level 2 now) and how the inner contraption works. The phone rings and its my pregnant girlfriend wanting to vent about how she finished her baby registry and how she's not happy with some of the selections she chose with her Pack N Play and stroller , and i'm like, listen I have a screaming baby and a crapped on house, i'll have to call you back!!!! So I finally put Jacob to sleep without any fight (Thank God) and then spent the rest of the night scrubbing the nasty bathroom, the room where she crapped in the morning, the kitchen floor that was all wet from her walk in from the rain, and then lighting candles b/c i thought the house now smelled like wet dog.

Then at 10pm i was able to sit down and relax. Forget relax I passed right out!!! My hats off to the Moms who work FT every day!! You are all my heroes...

WOW! The dog poop would have sent me over the edge! You are a strong lady!

And by the way.. the way you tell that story is absolutely hysterical! Maybe I wasnt suppossed to laugh but it was funny!

I have a older dog who has "accidents" on my rug at least once a month and it is horrible. He usually does it before I have to leave for work or when I come home for lunch.

Thanks! You just described what most of my week this week was like except add:

- baby was sick
- in laws coming in on Friday
- 90lb dog that takes 10lb craps in the room where in-laws are staying
