I can hear my neighbors moving around and I feel nervous
This whole summer has been very quiet as far as my neighbors are concerned but this past weekend I have been hearing more loud footsteps and moving around.
Since these are the people whose kid robbed us and I am home alone, it is creeping me out.
Any ideas on how to not be nervous?
Oh yeah, my front door is locked and the attic was framed out and sheetrocked this past spring as well as having a lock on it.

It sounds like people walking around (we share common floor boards so I hear them squeak). I heard voices. I heard what sounded like doors slamming but more like cabinet doors, not bedroom doors.
And then I heard something that sounded heavy like the stairs to the attic. I think that is what has freaked me out. It is obvious that the parents are home, but I just hate hearing them. I wish they would move.
The robbery was in March and we never did get a written apology as the probation officer promised me.

I dont have any advice, but I remember when it happened to you and I know how freaked out you must be. I just wanted to come on the thread and offer some support

When I am home alone and get nervous, I always make sure to carry the phone with me wherever I go. Sounds crazy, but it makes me feel so much better!

Thanks! I know I sound like a big baby but I really haven't heard that much from them all summer and now it is reminder that they really are there.

I agree with that- I just to do that in my parents house- even though we had 2 panic buttons
