How do you stay awake after a long work day?
I started a new job today and the hours are much longer than what I am used to. I just want to go to bed right now - AND my commute is about to get a lot longer, so my day will be even longer. How do you deal????

I just take a shower and get in bed. Sometimes DH brings me dinner in bed.

Yes, it is. Whenever I am really tired these are the little things he does that I truly appreciate.

I had to start going to bed earlier. And I try and have a healthy snack after lunch to keep my energy up.

I honestly wonder this also. I find myself taking it day by day. I work long exhausting hours also and am ready to fall down the minute I walk in the door. Plus I have a 6 month old to take care of!

I honestly wonder this also. I find myself taking it day by day. I work long exhausting hours also and am ready to fall down the minute I walk in the door. Plus I have a 6 month old to take care of!

What time do you go to bed? I'm trying to figure out the earliest possible time I can go to sleep without being ridiculous about it

I usually put PJs on grab a snack and veg out in front on the TV for about half an hour. Not very productive but it's nice to just unwind.

Not really early...like 11 -11:30 the latest. This is early to me because sometimes I would stay up till 12:30 - 1.

Somehow I always get a second wind at night. But if I'm THAT tired I don't flght it, I'll watch TV in bed til I fall asleep.

You get used to it...I went from a 20 minute commute to about an hour, hour fifteen. I usually don't get home until around 8pm or later and it BITES.....
I am usually in bed by 11pm.
