Can anyone explain the ferning thing to me??

Thanks to Shamrock, she sent me the microscope to see if I am ferning. So I spit on the lens, and push the button, but I have no idea what I am looking for!! It says to see if the saliva appears as crystals.... anyone have any tips???

I was never thrilled with the microscope, cause it drove me a little wacky. I had ferning during my 2ww , and various times in my cycle but.....here is a helpful website. Let the saliva dry up before you look at it. Give it a few minutes (about 5).

Thanks Michelle - as always, you are so helpful!! THe instructions that came with this are minimal to say the least - I was spitting all over the place!! LOL....
