Spinoff to parting with clothes thread-Clothing Swap

Has anyone ever been to or hosted a clothing swap?

I hate giving nice clothes to charities and wondering if they got into the hands of the needy or were snatched up by the people working there. I would love to meet with a bunch of ladies and swap clothes, shoes, and accessories.

Anybody interested?

It sounds like a great idea, but I know I would have such a hard time parting with stuff, I'm a pack rat.....

I would love that! I've done that with roommates in college (we were all the same size), but never anything organized. What a great way to get a new wardrobe and have discarded clothes not go to waste!

I would, but from photos I have seen of you, I am much chubbier and your clothes wouldn't fit me

I have a swap with friends about once a year, where we bring all kinds of stuff we aren't using any more. Then I take all the stuff no one wants to charity. It is a lot of fun!

A bunch of us did this last year but with pocketbooks, it was alot of fun! We had munchies and the girls just got to hang out. I say get your girls together and do it!
