driving question for those of you familiar with Westchester
I'm mapping out my route for my first day of internship tomorrow and I was hoping you guys could help me. The first time I went up to Valhalla, I took the Hutchinson to 287 (cross westchester) to the Sprain. Mapquest tells me to take the Hutch to the Cross County to the Sprain.
Does anyone have any idea which of these routes should be faster from Queens or likely to have less traffic? Thanks for your help!

I just re-read your post correctly!
I would think the mileage is pretty much the same but which bridge are you closer to? Right now there is constant construction on the Whitestone so I would take the Throgs Neck. Also I would check the mileage and see if there is any difference taking the Hutch to 287 or 95 North. Both have their traffic issues!
Good luck on your intership!

I think taking the Hutch to the Cross County is better. ( BTW-- where the Cross County meets the Bronx River Parkway, that's where I used to live! )
287 would proably have more traffic than the cross county and if you take the cross county, you get off the Hutch sooner, which is always a good idea.
Good luck!
