when did you start buying maternity clothes?

I'm only 6 weeks, so I know there's no need for me to buy maternity clothes, but I can't help wanting too! I'm addicted to shopping and I know it would be stupid to go out and buy regular clothes, but it seems silly to go and buy clothes I won't even fit into for a while.
So I was just wondering when you felt you needed to start buying maternity wear.

Around 4-5 months. But now at 8 months I am popping out of all those clothes!

I started buying pants around 9 weeks b/c my pants were getting tight and I wanted to be comfortable.

Old Navy and GAP have "starter" style pants which I am still wearing at 16 weeks. They are like regular pants with a some elastic on the sides. They are really nice.

I started buying clothes at around 9 weeks and I have been wearing them here and there since. I am almost out of all my normal clothes.

Im 5 weeks and my pants are all tight on me.
I am going to buy a few pairs of sweats to get me buy before I go to the maternity stores..

Put your name on the pregnancy list so we see when your due!

I didn't buy the belly band. I bought my first pair of maternity jeans around 7 weeks, but I didn't start wearing them until 9 weeks (I was still wearing regular pants also up until 4 months or so).

It really depends on how you're carrying. I'm very low and all out front, so pants went fast for me.

My advice is even though it is very exciting, don't rush to buy any maternity clothes yet. If it's your first you really have no idea how you are going to grow. I bought a bunch of stuff early in my pregnancy thinking I would be huge and ended up not wearing any of it.

I'm 14w 2d and still in all my regular clothes. I started buying around 7-8 weeks because I started buying summer stuff on sale because I knew I would need that and some stuff I found on sale for work. I haven't worn any of it as I'm still waiting to start showing instead of looking fat.

I bought pants around 8-10 weeks, and I could hold out on tops longer. But as I neared 36 weeks, it was maternity all the way. With the second pregnancy, it was maternity the minute I found out

Around 5 months for me.

I use the belly band everyday. I still wear all my regular work pants, but just don't button them for comfort. Instead I put the band ontop to keep them up. It's been a lifesaver for me. The only maternity pants I wear are jeans, because they are more comfy. I'm 14 weeks 4days and I'm totally showing already!

i just bought 2 shirts and a pair of jeans on friday, I was 11 weeks. my tummy is definitely showing now, so the jeans were a must, the shirts i needed too because my boobs were d's to start and they have gotten bigger already

I bought pants around 10 weeks, and shirts around 17-18 weeks.

I know it's hard not to buy, but try not to buy so much, it's so hard to tell how you will carry and where you will gain.

I have grown out of some of my shirts already, and a pair of pants and I have 10 weeks to go!

Target has great maternity pants for the beginning of your pregnancy. The Liz Lange pants that have the true waist have buttons on the inside to make them bigger as you go along in your first and second trimester. At 23 weeks, I am just now wearing them with the buttons on the inside open all the way. They still have zippers and buttons and look like non maternity pants. Old Navy also makes them, however, I don't know if they have the buttons on the inside.

i was like 6 weeks wen i had to buy maternity pants. i just felt very bloated and tight. the tops i didnt buy till like 3 months PG
