Bedtime routine
We are trying to start a bedtime routine and the books say not to put the baby in their bed when they are already asleep but because Kevin has reflux we have to hold him upright for 30 minutes after his last bottle and he always falls asleep. I'm worried that we are going to run into trouble when we transition him to the crib this month.
So far the routine is.. 7:00 PM Bath (every other night) & change into jammies 7:20ish Read "Good Night Moon" 7:30 Bottle 8:30 Bed
He gets up in the morning anywhere between 5:30 - 6:30 AM
What is your bedtime routine? Do you give a bath everynight?

Re: Bedtime routine
Talia is only 3 weeks old but we are trying to get her into a nighttime routine (to help her sleep longer and to help her differentiate the difference between night and day)
9ish...Bath time - we give her a bath every day
after bath I take her upstairs - put her in pajamas and a fresh diaper - brush her hair, etc... then I feed her with the lights dimmed and put her to sleep in her crib. (a lot of the time she falls asleep on me while I am burping her)
(on a side note - during the day I put her to sleep in her pack and play down in the family room - she only sleeps in her crib at night - I am hoping maybe that will help her realize its day time - not night)
Some nights she will wake at 3:30 - 4 to be fed...and another night she will sleep straight for about 6 hours.

Re: Bedtime routine
We started a bedtime routine fairly early on. He would have a bath then a bottle then bed. I believe there is some kind of wedge you can put in the crib that keeps the babies elevated to help with reflux. You might want to try that.
