No HCG Trigger
I'm asking silly questions but I'm still a bit confused.
If I O on my own WITHOUT a trigger shot I will only release one egg, even if several are mature?
and with the shot I will release more than one?

No, the hcg from the trigger is basically, going to do the same thing for you, as your own LH would do.
The advantage of getting a hcg trigger, is that you can catch the follies at a good size. If follies are too mature, they are harder to fertilize. I believe.....22mm is the average follie size at O. Anything over 18mm is considered mature and follies over 26mm have a harder time fertilizing. However, I was told by the NP at RS they can go up to 30mm ?
The estradoil level is very important because that will clue you in, as to how many follies are really ready.

AH. Now I get it. So if I have follicles at 30, 22, 20 & 20 its possible for them all to release with my own LH and without a trigger shot?
It looks as though I will get a positive tonight, so I made an appt for IUI tomorrow as well as a sono to check out the sizes of the follicles. I'm waiting to hear back from them today regarding my LH and Estradoil levels.
What level of estradoil is indicative of 2 or more follicles ready to go?

Estradiol (E2) Surge/hCG day 200 + pg/ml The levels should be 200-600 per mature (18 mm) follicle. These levels are sometimes lower in overweight women

My estradoil level yesterday was 785 and my lh level was 7.5. Got my trigger shot this afternoon and will have IUI tomorrow and possible again on Thursday.

Awesome....your LH would have taken forever to rise....it needs to be over 20 for a surge. I am so happy you asked them for the trigger !!!
