Q about last period/preg...
FSIL just informed us yesterday that shes preg!!! 
Now, her last pd was in Dec....When is she due?
She was saying in 9 mos...but i think its 40 weeks from ur last pd??

count 40 weeks from the first day of her last period...for instance, mine was oct 3rd and i'm due on july 10th (or 11th- it varies.... )
congrats on becoming an aunt!!

The 1st day of my last pd was Dec. 8. I am due September 14 (approx. of course!)

It also depends on how long her cycles are. If I went by my last period date (nov 29th) I would be due about sept 4th, but since I have about 35-40 day cycles it is wrong for me.
I am due Sept 18th.

I've heard of counting back 3 months from your last period and then adding 6 days. So if her last Period was on Dec 8. and if we go back 3 months it's Sept. 8 and add six days to that so her due date should be approximately around the 16th...

It really depends on if you are regular or not.....you can't always go by your last period. Mine was Oct. 3, but I had a VERY long cycle, and got pregant in mid Nov. I'm due Aug. 8. So counting back only works if you have normal 28 day cycles.

The funny part is that all of this is really just a guess, an estimate. The baby doesn't have a calendar so there is no true 'due date".
I knew the date I got pregnant because I was charting so I used that as my date to do all calculations.
