DH and I are trying to pick a girls name. We already have our boys name. I like the name Emma, but DH thinks it sounds too similar to Sarah.

I don't think they are similar at all and sound very nice together.

I love both names. And for the last few years I've been thinking of naming my first daughter - Emma...but it's become so popular I don't know if I will use it anymore. But I still LOVE the name!! It was my great-grandmother's name - another reason I was going to use it. I think Sarah & Emma are cute names, but they also work well as they grow up...not too cutesy I mean.

Both are very classic and very girly (something that I NEED in a girl's name, when the time comes! Chat Icon )

Thanks guys! I'm waiting until the baby pops out and if it's a girl just saying "Her name is Emma". I remember his face after seeing how hard pushing is, and I know that he'll never tell me no after I do all that work!

I dont think cutesy at all with either of those names. They are both classic names that will sound good when they are babies and when they are 50 years old. And I think they sound great together.
