4 bedroom ranch. OH Sat 8/12 2-4
Are the taxes in Levittown really that high>

$6.600 isnt that bad for that area in taxes , espeicallly for that size land.
FSIL lived in levittown, she paid over $8K for 60x100.

the taxes are ridiculous in levittown - i think its a great town but like i said FSIl paid over $8k per year for no basement and no garage! (not an extended cape either, a good old original levitt)

Taxes all over nassau are ridiculous imo! and you get the same services in other towns for cheaper. sorrry, jmo.

Amen! My Aunt is so upset...the thought of having to sell her home after all these years...she loves that town!

Lets take Merrick for example. Taxes are about the same. BUT Levittown has 9 community pools and even more parks but merrick does not. A lot of my taxes go to that. You know what I mean.

arent those Town of Hempstead pools?? so anyone in Hempstead can go there? which means you are paying for other residents to use them

Honestly? Because I can't afford taxes like that! I nothing against Levittown.
I think Nassau has much higher taxes in general than Suffolk.

Nope they are only for residents of Levittown. 
I love in Seaford but L-town SD. I think the taxes are crazy high - we pay over 9K - and I do not think we get much for them. Unfortunately, this seems to be the problem in Nassau. DH works in the city so his commute is pretty good at least.

Nope they are only for residents of Levittown.

No they are LEVITTOWN POOLS that you have to goto Levittown hall with a bill and your license and get a pool pass. And show your license and pool pass at the pool gate to get in. You must be a levittown RESIDENT!

Taxes are high in all of Nassau, not specifically Levittown.
However, if you are looking for lower taxes in Levittown, the houses in the Island Trees School District have lower taxes.

However, if you are looking for lower taxes in Levittown, the houses in the Island Trees School District have lower taxes.
Our new house is in the Island Trees school district and the taxes are lower.

I live in levittown and I love it. The taxes for my house are $7559 but with the star discount of $1400, We will be paying in october of this year $6100. That is not that bad at all for Nassau County. I love Levittown
