Ok-- I like Lindsay-- but if she playes Janis that would be a disgrace. I am a huge Janis fan-- they should get some unknown to play her-- there was this amazing woman Dana Fuchs I think-- I have actually seen her perform outside of Love Janis-- but she was amazing in it-- although in the show they had an acting Janis and a singing Janis.
I have heard about this Janis movie for years-- heard Melissa Ehteridge will play her, etc. we;ll see if this ever gets made.

I know Janis died at 27 - but Melissa Etheridge, though not an actress, I think could potentially do the part justice.

Melissa is 45 years old - she is too old for the part. Perhaps they could use Melissa's voice with an unknown actress. Though now that I think about it, I think Melissa's voice may be too mature. I hate to say it but Pink, if trained properly could do the singing - not sure about the acting though.

Lili Taylor would be good too...nothing against Lily, bc she is pretty but I think Joss is TOO pretty for the Janis role..although...look what makeup did for Charlize in Monster!

Pink said she pulled her name out of the running to get the role because she didn't like the way they were putting it together, and that they were looking for the next Hollywood "it" girl to do it, and that she just didn't feel like it would do Janis justice. I can't believe they would cast Lindsay Lohan to play Janis, the whole thought of it disgusts me.

There are tons of talented woman that could play this role and kick a$$!!!!! I am so disgusted by Hollywood and Broadway right now. How about we forget about having an "it girl" and we focus on having a talented girl for once!!!!!!
