i posted before about some friends not seeming happpy for me about being pregnat and some people responded that they may be jealous..

do you think you are or were a jelous person?

i think in my younger days i was but i think alot of kids and teens are. I am no longer a jelous perosn at all. the way i think about it is the grass is alwasy greener, i may have someting you want and you may have someting i want so why be jelopous. Everyone has their problems an you really dont know what a persons situation is beyond what you see on the surface.

I agree with you totally. I was never a jealous person. My saying is that if it looks and sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

I don't think I'm a jealous person, because when good things happen to/for others I am genuinely happy for them. I think I can be envious at times though- like if someone is taking a great vacation that I wish I could go on.

i am a very jealous person and a lot of time, i'm not sure what i'm jealous of. its a horrible feeling.

I dont think I am a jealous person at all. I am happy for people when they tell me they have succeeded at something or are buying a house, or getting married, or whatever the case may be. What irritates me is when people hugely exxagerate how much things cost that they own, how much they make, etc. to try and look better than others, when I know in fact they are not telling the truth.

By nature I am not a jealous person...

HOWEVER... I was the very last person of my friends and family to get engaged, get married and now have a baby, AND I was 33 when all of that even started.

It used to take everything I had to attend bridal, and then,baby showers.... I would have to literally talk myself into it and say, "Come on you can do it... if only for an hour." It was 10X worse when people much younger than myself were experiencing all of this. I would often make excuses for the showers at work, deliberately not walk through certain sections of stores (china/bridal registry/baby) because it was just too painful For the past year I could only go to Target and buy a gift card for a baby shower... it was mental torture even driving into the parking lot of BRU.

I was so ready to settle down at 27 but life had different plans for me and DH and I were desperate at age 35 and 37, at the time we first got married, to get our family started right away but it just didn't happen.

Perhaps these friends are mentally ready but the dating scene or, if married, fertility, is just not on their side.

when good things happen I want to be so involved and am usually ecstatic for the person and that is why sometimes I dont understand the careless personalaties of others. That only gets me mad in the end. But for those like me that are overjoyed in my happiness it is soooo remembered and appreciated!

I don't consider myself a jealous person at all. ANytime my friends get engaged or pregnant i am so happy for them. I wasn't ther first to get engaged and we haven't started ttc yet so maybe that will change i would hope that it doesn't. I do have a friend that is pregnant and her BF is so jealous she won't even discuss the pregnancy or anything related to the baby with her. She is extremely upset with her, she wanted her to be part of this pregnancy and she's not. I think after seeing her go through this I would hope i never do this to anyone.
