seafood during the holidays
My family does the seven fish feast for Christmas Eve and today New Years Eve including bacala, shrimp, clams, octupus salad, filetto, lobster, scallops - u name it - i've somewhat been indulging in the feast - but feel so guilty about it - cause i know moderation is best and i;ve already had my share for the week.... Well - last night my SIL made clams and shrimps and I had some - and today I will be around it again....argh!
Does anyone else feel guilty that they have been eating too much fish during the holidays?

i think you'll be fine. it's not like your going to be eating fish every day of your pregnancy. enjoy the holiday food! my doctor never even said anything about avoiding shellfish, just to be sure that it's cooked and not raw.

I'm NOT a seafood eater but I read that some things are perfectly fine to eat while pregnant. There is a big list of things that is ok. And if you feel guilty, just remember that we all overdue things a bit over the holidays.

The seven fishes are just fine for you to eat. The only fishes you should limit intake are mercury bearing like tuna, shark, etc.
Enjoy!

You also want to stay away from anything that isn't cooked...like clams on the half shell or oysters or tuna sheared.
