Christmas Cards - Two Questions...

1. I bought Christmas Cards that say "Noel" on the outside and "Happy Holidays" on the inside. Are these appropriate to send to my Jewish friends or is "Noel" associated with the Catholic religion? Stupid question i know!

2. When do you usually send yours out?


I know I'm jumping the gun a bit here as it is only October but I am swamped with work in Nov. and Dec. so i figured I'd get an early start. Thanks so much, in advance

Well, I'm Jewish- and Christmas cards are christmas cards... whether its Santa or Noel- its all CHRISTmas. No matter how people celebrate it, to me at least it is a religious holiday.

Unless someone you know is extremely sensitive or ultra-religious- I would send it. To me, getting Christmas cards are more about the gesture of thinking about me (which is always sweet) than the holiday itself. I really don't see how most people would get offended. But that's just me.

ETA: The only thing that I could think of peopel getting offended if it was a very religious scene. I don't even think most people would be offended by a picture of the nativity scene. I really wouldn't worry.

I think those cards are perfect. I don't think you'd offend anyone by thinking of them and sending them a card.

Thanks ladies! I usually just send out "holiday" cards - generic cards that say "Happy Holidays" or "Seasons Greetings" that avoids the issue all together. I just loved these cards - they are beautiful!
