what kind of show is greys anatomy???

i watched a clip online cuz it had an actress i like as a costar (leisha hailey....... played a newlywed with some strange rash)

and anyway, i couldnt figure it out.
is it supposed to be serious? comedy? sci-fi like????

it's kind of a mix of comedy and drama. There are some very serious doctor type parts, but there are also some hysterical one liners and situations... for example, a few weeks ago, there was a patient with spontaneous orgasams.
