My dog peed on my carpet today and I was looking for the best way to clean it. I originally posted on the Pets board, but wasnt getting any responses. Any help...TIA.

the natures miracle line (at petco) works great - they have a carpet cleaner.
it will lift the stain, and most importantly, cover the scent so they wont pee pee there again

I agree with the natures miracle. I use whenever my dog went in the house. Also, my cat has been very sick his whole life and would puk 2-3 times a day on the carpet--that stuff took it right out.
Another thing we've used for regular stains on carpet and furniture is Folex which you can get at Home Depot and Lowes.

I agree with this! My cat peed on one of my couches a few weeks ago (first time she's EVER done that!) and I used this stuff, lifted the stain and got rid of the smell. Thankfully though I caught it very shortly after she did it

I LOVE Spot Shot. It works wonders. It takes it right out even days later. I purchased it at Home Depot, but I think its available everywhere

I love Capture for taking care of cat pee and throw-up. You get it in a spray bottle at Home Depot.

I just had my carpets cleaned yesterday. The guy saw that I was using Resolve and said not to use any of the carpet cleaners because some of them may destroy your carpets. He said the best thing to do is take water and mix in a little of your laundry detergent and wipe it with a cloth. It will do the trick.
I also then spray the Nature's Miracle after I clean it up.
