FINALLY saw Rent!
Last night we had a girl's night and they rented, well, Rent!
I have to say I really enjoyed it - although it wasn't nearly as good as the broadway show. It just loose something when not on stage, I guess.
The montages of April, etc. were kind of strange too... I was weird to give her a face.
I had forgotten how beautiful the story was though. I want to see it on Broadway again now

I watched it again last night too - and cried AGAIN.
Do yourself a favor and DON'T see it on Broadway soon- I went 2/12 - the cast is very young and inexperienced, and it shows.

I might try to check it out though if I ever make it up to NY this summer.
Dang crazy schedule. 
Oh, and there were some tears last night...
Did you find yourself singing the parts that they spoke in your head too? I've listened to the soundtrack too many times

um, YEAH!
I was upset they cut "Happy New Year" and "Goodbye Love" - BUT "Goodbye Love" is in the outtakes. (disc 2)

Saw the broadway show and loved it. I want to see it again. I have the soundtrack to it.

I noticed Happy New Year was cut... but I didn't notice goodbye love.
boo!
I think DH ordered the dvd on amazon the other day, I'll have to check out the outtakes when I get it.

Oooh..I'm so glad that Goodbye Love is in the outtakes. I really missed that part in the movie. I have to pick up the DVD this weekend.

I saw it yesterday too. Not nearly as good as the Broadway play. Didn't particularly love Rosaria Dawson as Mimi.....but I did love Irina Medzel as Maureen, she was hot! Lucky Taye Diggs for being married to her  I saw it when Jai from Queer Eye was Angel and he did a better job also but all in all, not bad......
