My boss is a jerk!! (more on the 36 week taken out of work story)
I told my boss about the bed rest and the potential for pre eclampsia and he said "can't you just wear those socks for people with varicose veins? My wife had that and isn't just because it's been hot outside?" THEN he said "let's see what they say at your appointment on Monday...maybe they'll ok you to come back and finish up your last few weeks...we'll play this all by ear..."
WHAT??? I highly doubt my Dr's office is going to say "hey...why don't you start up commuting to Manhattan 2+ hours each way and lets hope that your blood pressure, swelling and protein stay in check at 37 weeks..."
MY BOSS IS MENTAL!! I told him not to count on my coming back before the baby! Ugh, talk about trying to relax!!

That is AWFUL!!
I have been getting the same treatment at work too. Sometimes its like I am not even pregnant and life should just go along as usual.

That is horrible. I would have flipped out. I have been on BR for high blood pressure for a few weeks and I have found that the more you rest and take it easy the more it settles out. Your life is now about taking care of you and your baby, if your boss can't understand that I would tell him to stuff it. I hate people like that, you are a person that is PG not a work mule. Rest and take it easy, blow him off as an a$$ and call it a lesson learned.

bosses are jerks. they only care for what is good for them and their business, which is understandable to a point, have a conscious and be a human being!!!!
