REPOST from TTC: Moms that breastfed

I BF my son for 6 months and didnt get AF back until about 2 weeks after I stopped. My cycles have been VERY messed up since anywhere from 21 days to 38 days.

Has anyone else experienced this? We've been trying to get pregnant since I stopped nursing him (which was 8 months ago!) with BD'ing every other day and so far nothing!!!

My DR just tells me to BD every other day from CD 7 through about CD 21 (if I make it that far) but now thats its been so long I am starting to get nervous....

I just looked up the TTC lingo

I got my period 10 mos after I had Joseph - I stopped breastfeeding completely at 11 mos - the first time, I got my period it was a 29 days cycle (norm for me is 27 days) and very heavy. The next month was few days out of sync still very heavy. The third month, we were TTC, I used the ovulation test kits (not the heavy hitting one, the $30 one) and got pregnant immediately.

After Maddie, I stopped breastfeeding at about 5 months. My period varied from a 29-35 day cycle for the past 1.5 years. It's now back to a 27 day cycle.

Are you using the ovulation kits?
