Lowes is usually less expensive - you can also try Jays on Hempstead Tpke in Levittown or PC richard

Lowes has a much greater selection on site.

Remember to price compare. If you bring in a competitor's add for the same make and model they will often beat the price.

Most people don't know but you can bargain the price of your appliances.

I found the best prices at Sears at the time we bought ours. They were having a big sale... plus we opened a new sears card and had no interest for a year.

I'll tell you right now... if you ever have an issue with something from Lowes.... their customer service absolutely BLOWS.

We ordered bedroom doors from them earlier in the year and we had all kinds of delivery and quality issues with a few of the doors.

None of the lackeys that pick up the phone could tell me anything. I ended up calling corporate and they ended up giving me a nice discount.

We decided to order more doors from them for the new house... since we really did like the doors once they were installed... better quality than home depot. I just hope we don't have any issues.

I have had MAJOR issues with both of them. Home Depot we brought our stove from and we thought we paid for delivery and installation. Not only did they not install that kind of stove, they sold us a stove that needed a high amp plug installed and they never thought to mention this to us. So they came and left it in the middle of our kitchen. We wound up paying another $600 to get it installed and a new plug put in.

Lowes was 10x worse. We ordered something in August that did not get installed till November. I had to call about 15 times and they were down right rude to me. That was the end for me.

HANDS DOWN the best one is Sears. We ordered our washer/dryer....came in, brought both of them down to our basement and the other ones out without so much as a nick. And the actual purchasing was a pleasent experience with a very knowledgeable person helping us out.

we have gotten appliances from PCRichard & best buy. The only issue we ever had was our DW from PC. We picked it up brought it home & after my DH installed & we ran it for the first time it was damaged on the bottom & leaked. I called them & told me to bring it back & get another one & they gave me another 10% off.

We had some Major issues with Home Depot customer service... we will NEVER buy appliances or anything special order from them again(especially carpets)!! We also used PC Richards and everything was here the next day, both times and they gave us great deals!!

PC Richards - hands down. You can bring in computer print outs of any one elses price and they will match and sometimes even give 10% off of that lower price.

I bought a fridge from Lowes, no problems. Actually, it came with a small dent, I called the store and they took $200 bucks off. It wasn't a big deal because it was in the back behind the cabinet. I have also ordered 2 sets of Kitchen Cabinets and countertops with no problems at all.
