ok...a little annoyed here at DH...

i have basically done 85% of the housework. which really has never bothered me. however being pregnant i would think that DH would take over some things i do but he hasnt. yes he lifts and carries all the groceries in now. But i want him to clean the floor/bathroom and pitch in more. ive said somethingto him but it went in one ear and out the other.

What got me was today i was going to mop the floor and he told me not to do it ( i thought wow is he going ot do it?) NOPE!! he said your tired do it tomorrow! i said a good DH would of done it for me

CAN ANYONE RELATE?

Yes, I can. My DH does NOTHING except put the garbage out on Monday mornings

I did nothing but sleep on and off today. I'm actually more energetic now than all day.

DH is good but I have to tell him. We already spoke about how we will have to renegotiate the indoor chores. I have one 1/2 bath that is so small I won't even fit in there at 8 or 9 months. I'm exhausted as it is and not even back to work yet. I'm not sure how I'm going to teach hs all day being preggos with twins, drive home and make it home w/o falling asleep never mind doing anything at night.

My DH does nothing but take the garbage out and carry heavy stuff....THAT'S IT!!!!!!!!!!! I get so PO'd most of the time (with my raging hormones) I feel like knocking him out..

Sorry , nope my DH babys me galore, dont do this or that and gets worried if I am holding something, its cute!! He does most of everything now along working his 12 hour days!!!

It's probably corny, but it might help to make a schedule for the week of which chores you want to do on what day. DH and I found, when we first got the house, that a lot of things got neglected, and to be honest, HE did quite a bit more than me which made me feel bad. So we wrote down EVERYTHING that needed to be done in the house and who would do what. It helped a lot.

When I got pregnant with Sarah MIL told DH that I shouldn't be around chemicals, so he did pretty much all the cleaning with both pregnancies.

I had almost the same fight with my DH 2 weeks ago. Lately, cleaning the bathroom, mopping the floor and vaccuuming have been hurting my back. I simply asked if he would help. It was like I was invisible. So I yelled at him and told him that he only has to do 2 things in the house while I do everything else. He has yet to do any of those things without being begged, so I end up doing it all myself.

Totally- I do all the major housework- DH yard work and garbage. I asked him to do the bathtub and he never got it done. I finally did it since it was so gross.

Oy. Can someone tell my DH this??? I am only 5 weeks, but I KNOW this is going to be a giant argument later on. We live in a multilevel house and our laundry room is down FOUR staircases from our bedroom (where the hamper is) and I know he is going to pitch a fit when I tell him I need him to carry it.

I do 100% of our cleaning, every weekend. Unfortunately, my DH thinks I *enjoy* cleaning the house like he enjoys working on his car

This should be an interesting couple of months....

I can't relate becuase DH does a lot of the housework anyway.

I used to clean the bathroom and scrub the kitchen floor every weekned. Now, he took it over, but it gets done like every other weekend.

My advice would be to just NOT do it. I know that if I stopped doing things, DH would get the hint. Or, get sick of it and do it himself.

Dh does his fair share of the housework- he always has- we split 50/50- but he does a lot of what I normally used to do- i like to stay away from the chemicals- so he does the bathroom, mops, etc.

I solved that problem...I hired a cleaning girl and het gets to pay. Somehow he thinks the tub cleans itself.
