How far along were you when you purchased your "first baby item"?

I'm 15 weeks along - and beginning to show - but whenever i walk into Babys R Us, Toys R Us or Buy Buy Baby (had to purchase a gift for a baby shower) - I really having gotten into the total swing of looking at any baby items for my baby yet.

Im thinking its because im so early in the pregnancy, haven't felt any real movements or just simply can't believe it all yet I've gotten a few ideas from walking around - but it seems so overwhelming sometimes.

Just wondering if anyone else feels this way and please tell me you do!! lol

I've known some people to start shopping for their baby so early on in the pregnancy and now that im pregnant - it just doesn't seem right for me to do yet.

Just wondering when did everyone purchase their first baby item (clothes, toy) and felt like "wow" this is for real!

I think I was about 12 weeks, I bought a little onesie that was on sale in Old Navy.

The first time I bought a baby item was a few days after I found out I was having a boy... so 20 weeks...

I only bought one other thing ( a onesie that said I heart pasta) from little italy...

I Thank God I didnt go crazy because I got sooooo much stuff at my shower... the last few things I needed were bought with giftcards (that I got as gifts for my shower)

I'd say I was 24 weeks...I bought a few outfits from the Carter's outlet and a bottle...but, that's all I've bought.

I have been stocking up though on Johnson's baby products and diapers throughout this pregnancy.

I think the first time i bought I was about 14 weeks. When i found out i was having a boy. I bought an outfit that says "Daddy's Boy" and wrapped it up for my DH to let him know the sex. Since then, me and my MIL have been buying stuff like crazy. She more than me. I have also started stocking up on diapers and stuff. I figure why not?

I think I was around 12-15 weeks or so when I went to Carter's and bought two little footsie pj's. At this point (34 weeks) all I've bought are the 2 footsie pjs, one other outfit, a halloween outfit I couldn't resist, and 3 tye-died/grateful dead-type shirts because my husband is a hippie-type-guy and he thought we just had to buy them.

I am 31 weeks and haven't bought a thing for the babies yet! I'm just kind of superstitous in that way I guess.

when we announced we were having a girl...we got a bag full of clothes. As far as buying anything more than clothing...we haven't really done that yet.

I am actually waiting until i find out the sex, 14 more days and counting...Then I think Im gonna go nuts!!!

Pretty early for me. I had to buy a baby shower gift and I bought a couple of neutral outfits at Babies R Us at maybe 6 weeks? But it took me a while after that to buy anything else.

I was 14 weeks. It was at the airport coming home from our one yr. anniversary trip from Aruba. I saw this really cute outfit that says Aruba on it and had to have it. After that I didn't buy anything until last week (26 weeks) which was crib bedding.

Fh bought a blue rattle trying to send us boy vibes!!! i cant wait to find out for sure then i will begin shopping for things ....if its a boy.Our daughter is only 10 months so if its a girl we dont need much

I am 13 weeks and have not bought anything. I think what is really stopping me is that I don't know the sex of the baby yet. Everything that is green and yellow isn't as cute as a pink dress or cute overalls!!!

I'm 18 wks and still haven't bought anything. I think I am waiting until we find out the sex in a couple of weeks, and then I'm off!
