Switching formula question..a little confusing..
We started out giving Megan similac advanced since thats what she was getting in the hospital. We noticed though, she seemed constipated (she was pushing to go but then it was soft) so we switched her to similac low iron because the ped said it may be the iron making her like that. So we have been giving her the low iron since she was 2 weeks old now and she still pushes to go (she only goes every other day) and the ped said this was fine as long as her stools were soft which they are. So now I am wondering if we should go back to the advanced since theres obviously more iron in it and that special protein. Do you think switching her back would be bad? Should I just stay on the low iron? I am afraid she is not getting everything she needs on the low iron..anyone?

I would honestly ask the doctor about it at that age. We had to switch formula and I know of people who do it without consulting the doctor but I would always ask the doctor when they are that young.
Have you tried GentleEase? That is what our DR recommended when we were having the same problem and it worked great. It is made by Enfamil and it has DHA/ARA and iron but it has partially digested milk protiens so it is easier for their bodies to process.

Hayley started on Similac Advance, I switched her to low iron because of her constipation and then the Dr switched her to Gentlease because of her gas.
