I'm very excited. My bedroom furniture is in.
We only ordered it at the beginning of June. And when I got home today, there was a message on my machine that it had arrived. (We were quoted an arrival date of 7/29/06)

It's by Stanley. It's called Wainright. DH & I joined Direct Buy--so we bought it through them.
I know that the Bedroom Source in Lindenhurst also has it because we went there to check it out before ordering. They had it under a different name though.

This is my bed. However, it's actually an off-white patina finish. It is not black.

I love how it comes with so many options. I'll have to look into this.
We can't have a large bedside table because DH only has 34 inches of clearance from his bed to the swing out closet door. We could and might have to put a 22" there (which is what a lot of them are these days) but it could make it more difficult for him to open the right door of his closet.

I love how it comes with so many options. I'll have to look into this.
We can't have a large bedside table because DH only has 34 inches of clearance from his bed to the swing out closet door. We could and might have to put a 22" there (which is what a lot of them are these days) but it could make it more difficult for him to open the right door of his closet.
Thanks. I looked very hard for this. It was a tough job finding furniture that I liked with the iron and brass bed. Another issue for me was also that the bed is high with the pillow top matress and therefore, I need at least 30 inches. It's not easy finding furniture.

I know and I'm really particular... aka PITA. I can only buy real quality furniture, dovetail, all qualoty wood through and through. Right now we have DH's post-divorce IKEA c r a p o l a furniture. It looks sooooo "dumpy" in our new, more formal bedroom.
I start looking for a diningroom, bedroom and livingroom furniture next week.

 I bought an IKEA dresser. It's totally falling apart. Almost hurled it out a window when we moved.
Right now we have my parents UGLY 70's tall dresser and 2 very short night stands. We are sharing the dresser 
My boss has Stanley furniture (the adult line) for her two sons. She said that it has held up very well. Both sons are in HS. The only damage is scratch marks that they (the boys) caused. She is very picky and has decorated her whole house, for the most part, in Ethan Allen.

If you dont mind me asking my husband and I are going to a direct buy showing on Sunday. I have heard alot of diff things about the membership fee, can you tell what it really is?

It was a few thousand $. (I don't remember the exact figure. I think that I have blocked it out.) Yes, I know it is expensive. But in our situation, we just bought a house and need to furnish just about all of it. Plus they sell just about everything. We thought it over and determined that we would "earn back" the membership fee based on what we need to buy and redo in the house. This is our first experience ordering.

Thank You. I told him that it was alot, I have a co worker that told me tha someone else he knew had went and it was like 3500. We are in the process of closing on the house so think we will just check the reg stores. It is just for a few things one for sure is the master bedroom set and then the dining room set. I will sweet talk him into going down 110.
