diaper bags..how big is too big or too small
several BTDT moms have warned me about going too big---you end up with all sorts of stuff in it, it's bulky...
Keep it small they say....anyone got pics?

Ive picked up 2 bags from a woman on ebay...
they are small, but have pockets all around the inside, perfect for stuffing diapers, burp cloths,extra clothes, bottle, etc...then you still have plenty of room to put a blanket and a toy or 2 in the middle.
pinklemonadeboutique is the name of the seller, they are all handmade, and her pattern selection varies
I prefer small bags...easier on the shoulders...
I picked up a le sport sac bag from macys (on sale of course) that I love as well...I like that it zippers up so nothing falls out when I jam it under the stroller... Image Attachment(s):

I really like that! I dont' want anything too bulky, I have small shoulders.
Do you mind FMing me how much you paid? There are lots of people that custom make them!!
My only concern is that I'd like a zipper closure...too paranoid about someone reaching into my bag

I have one that's a medium size. It can get a bit heavy at times, but I think no matter what size it is, a diaper bag is going to be heavier than a purse. Image Attachment(s):

I mainly use this tote bag from Carter's, it has two side pockets, comes with a little bag for diapers and wipes and changing pad. DH refuses to carry bc he says it's to feminine, so he went to BRU last week and bought this Eddie Bauer backpack for when he is out with the baby.

I love my current diaper bag but I want one that is a bit more "fun" and lighter than mine.

Love that bag - I have a Kate Spade diaper bag and I really do like it. I bought one that was pretty big and with #2 on the way I'll need the room.

Ooooohh! I am glad you like yours. I know it's a bit of a splurge but I bought my Kate Spade bag and wallet and make up case over 5 years ago and they are still in great shape and believe me I am not one who is nice to my bags so I figured it's worth the extra $$ if it's going to last. Also its not girly or boyish so I can use it again for the next baby.
