White Painted Ceiling or Color Painted Ceiling?
We are repainting our entire house and I wanted your opinions. We were going to do our LR and DR and den in latte color, or adobe beige. We might do white crown moldings as well. Should we paint the ceilings white or pain the ceilings the same color as the walls? Which way do you have? Which way do you prefer? Thanks so much!!!

We're painting our bedroom a mocha color on the walls, linen trim and a pale blue ceiling. I like painted ceilings and I'm currently on a "blue kick" 
I think painting the ceiling the same color as the wall would look nice...warm.

depends on your ceiling height. In our kitchen we have ten foot ceilings with darker walls & wanted the crown molding to pop, so we used a creamy beige on the ceiling which is also the wall color in the adjoing great room.
In our master bedroom we have a vaulted ceiling & I didn't want the glare of bright white so we used a slight off white that's in the same color family as the darker walls. Our master bath again has a vaulted ceiling (which I'm not a fan of but they were there) we painted everything the wall color-no crown molding in that room though.
The kids rooms & their bathrooms & our guest room all have colored walls, white crown & white ceilings.

I personally like white ceilings but the cool thing is - you can do whatever YOU want. It took me a while to realize that - honestly. The best part about painting is that you change it if you don't like it.

White, it will give your paint such a nice contrast. The crown moldings will still stand out as one is flat paint, one isn't.

I like white the best, but love some of the suggestions mentioned. The only different paint we did is in our DR where we have a coffered ceiling that we painted flat white in the center and gloss white on the raised wood sections.

I am not a fan of white ceilings, but I am not sure that the same as the room is good either. (not sure how dark the colour is, or how high the ceIlings are). I do like a shade or two lighter on the ceiling though.
Can't wait to see pics!

We used Benjamin Moore ceiling white on all our ceilings and white on the trim. The trim is glossier though so it stands out

we did SUPER WHITE for the celiling and all the trim -it looks great againt a painted wall -esp if you have crown molding and the molding is painted white- really makes the molding pop against any other color
