please answer asap.. re: contraction vs braxton hicks
I have been getting pain in my right side right below my chest. i am carrying high so its where the baby is Its about every 15 -20 minutes but seems to be lasting longer than it should to be just a contraction. I dont know i i am just not sitting in a good position or if its anytng to be worried about.TIA

Braxton Hicks feels more like a squeezing feeling whereas a real contraction feels more like pain.
They don't feel the same at all.

Braxton hicks don't hurt like contractions do, they are just uncomfortable/ WIth real contractions they are intense and just get worse.

If they start to get more frequent then just give your doctor a call to be safe. Good luck!!!!

I would always ask the dr. I would I know I was in labor and she said I would just know and you do. Contractions for me felt like menstrual cramps and Braxton Hicks felt more like a tighting and then a release. And when I went into labor it definitly did feel different.

So true! My OB told me I would know when I was in labor and she was right. Try moving around a bit and if it continues call your doc.
