anyone ever feel that their non preggo friends are not very happy for them
I have quite a few friends pregoo and i have a few who arent.The ones who arent ask about my pregnacy and stuff and i try not to talk about it constantly because i know its not the saem as going through it yourself..Sometimes i feel like they could care less but if it was them they would expect me to be on them constantly about how they are doing and stuff.

Since I got engaged, I felt like my single friends were not happy for me. And since then I haven't spoken with most of them.
I am on the younger side (23) but have always had a good head on my shoulder.
They are all very immature still and very reliant on mommy & daddy.
It stinks that you can't share happiness with people you thought were your friends.

I dont think its only friends, I think it branches out to family members etc... I still havent gotten a congratulations from many people who if roles were reverse would get one from me. I just attribute it to jealousy and move on.

I get this too...its hard esp. since I have always tried to be supportive to all my friends regardless of what "stage" they are at in their lives...it saddens me that family and friend relationships will not be the same after I give birth but dh has warned me its "just a matter of life" and not to take it personally....in the meantime, I have *met* so many wonderful and supportive people here and seen some friends go bananas with care and concern that it kinda evens it out!!!

I can relate. My SIL is yet to congratulate me, and I know she never will. I'm almost 31 weeks and even though I dislike her just as much, if not more, than she dislikes me, I would have atleast sent a card.

I hear things like that from SIL. She has two of her own and has no help from her DH (he's an idiot, but that's a whole other story.) I am so sick of hearing that "it's all over for you now" and "enjoy ___ while you can." I just bite my tongue because I want to say that it will be different because my husband wants to be involved and wants to help me with OUR children. Whew!! that felt good to get that out!
As far as friends go, most of mine have kids already and I know they are ecstatic that we're having one. But sometimes I do feel that they are too busy to ask how I am, but I understand. It's also hard because now I live far away. I do have one friend who is not very happy with her life and I know she's happy for me, but is kinda jealous at the same time so I don't really talk about it with her.

I have been that person. I have watched as several friends have gotten pg and came off this way. It wasn't that I wasn't happy for them, I was jealous. It was easier for me not to say much than start a conversation about it and get emotional. If I made anyone feel like I didn't care, that wasn't my intention...it's been a barrier of protection for myself.
ETA This does not mean I was a big meanie and didn't even say congratulations--it's just that's it's not the 2 hour conversation like we used to have about other things like wedding planning.
