Nervous about my friday move

My and DH and son are moving to Lake Ronkonkoma on friday. Our apartment is on Motor parkway.

I am so nervous about this move. All my life I've lived in Bellport village and hung out in patchogue and medford. I really never been to Lake Ronkonkoma I feel helpless and lost.

I just learned how to drive recently and I am not the best driver and I never drove on any highways before. To get to my moms house I have to take the LIE or Sunrise. That makes me nervous.

I was wondering you if you girls can give me some idea where some stores are around my area. Like a food store and stuff like that. So far all I see is BJ's and Hooters. Two names that belong in a porn lol

In Lake Ronkonkoma the large new Stop and Shop on Portion is my favorite place to shop (right before the movie theatre...or I guess after depending on where you come from!). There are a bunch of stores on Portion...A Kohl's, Waldbaum's, Guinta's Meat Farms, Little Vincent's pizza (the best!). Portion gets busy at some times, but it is not a 4 lane road or anything. I looked at a beautiful apartment (in a priavate home) on Motor Parkway over there. It was right near a 7-22 and BJ's. I wonder if it is the same place......

anyhow it is a beautiful neighborhood. Best of luck

You8 can also take Old Nicols Rd North to the end and then make a left and you will be at the Smithhaven Mall-it is only about 7 minutes from there-you have all that shopping on 347

OR if you go the other way on Old Nicols you will hit 454-make a right and there is a huge shopping Center with Walmart, liquor store, Stop and Shop(in the middle of being renovated) Starbucks, TJ Maxx, etc.

Then if you go a little further down 454 you will hit 111 and 347 again where there is also tons of shopping. I live in islandia but I am close to you. I think it is a great area. And also you are close to Portion but I don't go that way much.

if you need any help, i can take you around!!! tell you where to go and where to not... i am there all the time my uncle lives in lake shores right on the lake!
