Excursions in Bermuda (on a cruise)
I was looking at the list of excursions that the boat offers in Bermuda and to be honest, I think they stink. $50 for a catamaran cruise for 2 hours with only 1 free drink... every other caribbean island gives you free drinks.
Not to sound like an alcoholic, my questions is... should we forget about the stupid excursions and just explore on our own?
Wondering what everyone who took a cruise to Bermuda did... we are stopping overnight in St. George, Hamilton, and King's Wharf (one night each).

Re: Excursions in Bermuda (on a cruise)
We did all our exploring on our own. I went a few years ago with another couple on the Celebrity Horizon cruise.
We went snorkeling at a the reef in St George. Just went for the day.
In Hamilton we had a couple days - that's where horse shoe bay is if I remember correctly. We went there twice and climbed the rocks and had a fun exploring all the beaches. I loved Horseshoe Bay. We also did the caves on our own. We went into town for drinks at night and walked around the town in the day. We also bused it to Elbow beach which is just a very pretty beach. In Hamilton we did everything by bus with no problems.
I didn't go to King's warf.

Re: Excursions in Bermuda (on a cruise)
We went on a cruise to Bermuda last year and did everything on our own. My wife and the couple we cruised with were there before. In Hamilton, we walked around town. We took a cab to Horseshoe Bay. We got there early before it got crowded. In St. George, we took a bus to the Crystal Caves and the Aquarium. We also walked to Fort Catherine, Fort Catherine beach and Tobacco Bay. That was about a 20-25 minute walk from where our cruise ship was docked.
