That is iffy..the theatre is very loud and often there is a lot going on. That could be very overwhelming to an 8-month old. Maybe if you had another adult with you. That way if the baby was upset you could leave the theatre and the child seeing the movie would not also have to leave. I would not do it by myself.

I would, I go to the movies with Noah every week. He usually falls asleep. We go on a Thursday morning at 11 am, its not advertised as a mother/baby showing, but there are usually like 10/15 of us with babies. Its fantastic! I say take him!!!

ps, take him to see the Adams Family movies so he can see his twin because I think your boy looks just Pubert from that film...Chat Icon

I totally agree.

it might be a frustrating experience for both of you Chat Icon
and if the baby cries or whines alot, unfortunately, you will have many people huffing and puffing.
although its a childrens movie, it will be noisy anyway, I dont know. either way, its your right to decide

I think the "Reel moms" thing would be great becaues its all mommies and babies and its weekday mornings so its a different crowd, its meant for that and you wouldnt feel awkward.

any other time, if its crowded just getting the baby around will be tough (Strollers, etc) no?

Im not a movie-goer at all, so Im not sure about the rules for strollers, etc.

To Ice-Age...yes. It's a kids movie and there were be lots of kids making lots of noise, so if he can handle a big crowd and not get freaked out sure. If he starts to cry or get fussy, you might have to leave the theater though.

If you were going to see an adult move, I would say no.

I know that Rockville Centre has Mommy and Me type showings during the week...I don't know who else does it or on where you are in relation to that....but some movie theatres do do it that way...

I think you could, especially if it's Ice-Age. There will be plenty of kids making plenty of noise. If he starts wailing for any reason, then you'd probably have to step out, but why not give it a shot? I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to take Alex to kid movies!

I live out of state, out of the country in fact! I live in Manchester England!!! Across the Atlantic Sea! Its already 8.45 pm here!!!
But if you are ever in the area, the Lowry Outlet Centre's Red Cinema has shows at 11 am, the parking is easy but the spaces are teensy and hard to get the pram inbetween the cars. I am the lady in the car taking up two spaces!!!

I know its an Ocean, but in 1968 when the musical Hair came out they had more poetic license!!! Now we are all sticklers for the facts.

Nowadays we have to be so pc!!!
