You just don't see people with them anymore, but I love the look of them.

Any input? Thanks mommies!

I have the Eddie Bauer one and I love it. Those who like the reclining features and the harnesses on the newer models will not like the wooden ones, but for me, I don't see a need for all of thoes features. Plus I really hate the look of those over sized ones that are on the market with the frilly looking padding. Just not for me.

I think the plastic ones are easier to clean. The vinyl fabric just wipes clean with a sponge. Do the wooden chairs have plastic trays to go in the dishwasher? That would be another good reason for plastic. I do like the look of wooden better too though.

I love the fact that mine has wheels on it.

Reclining, disinfecting, non fabric material, wheels......however, you can't beat the look of the traditional wooden highchair.

I wanted a wooden highchair so badly.
The thing that swayed me was the reclining feature in the others, and guess what, he probably has fallen alseep in the highchair *maybe* 3x and when I would go to recline it he woke up everytime. So in the end not a reason to get the recline feature.

I ended up choosing the FP Heathy care, its a great chair and still looks brand new, but if I had to do over again I would have gotten a pretty wooden one. Chat Icon

I've heard this be both an advantage and disadvantage- the wood tends to be heavier.
Good so the baby cant tip it easy or someone else can't tip it easy, bad if your moving it around a lot.
